The Election Commission of India will visit Haryana on October 9, 2019 to review the preparations for the Haryana Assembly General Election-2019.

  • Chandigarh, October 8–  The Election Commission of India will visit Haryana on October 9, 2019 to review the preparations for the Haryana Assembly General Election-2019. During its two-day visit, the Chief Election Commissioner of India  will be holding a series of review meetings with the State Chief Electoral Officer, Police, Nodal Officer and the representatives of various political parties in connection with the forthcoming l Assembly Election in  the State Haryana.
  • Giving information in this regard, Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Anurag Agarwal said that the Chief Election Commissioner of India, Mr. Sunil Arora, Election Commissioners Mr. Ashok Lavasa and Mr. Sushil Chandra will reach Lalit Hotel, Chandigarh on October 9, 2019  and  will hold meeting with political parties at 4.00 pm. After that, there will be a meeting with the Chief Electoral Officer and State Nodal Officers of Haryana at 6.00 pm.
  • He informed that on October 10, 2019, Chief Election Commissioner Mr. Sunil Arora, Election Commissioners Mr. Ashok Lavasa and Mr. Sushil Chandra will inaugurate the exhibition. Thereafter, from 10.00 am to 1:30 pm, the Commission will have a meeting with the Divisional Commissioners of the State, District Election Officers, ADGP, Police Range IG and Superintendents of Police to discuss the  important concerns regarding the Assembly elections .
  • The Chief Electoral Officer further shared that at 2:45 pm, the Commission will hold a meeting with Haryana Chief Secretary, Mrs. Keshani Anand Arora. Then at 3:45 pm, Chief Election Commissioner  Mr. Sunil Arora, Election Commissioner Mr. Ashok Lavasa and Mr. Sushil Chandra will be  interacting with the media in a press conference.
