In yet another crackdown on drug peddlers, Haryana Police have arrested four persons from Sirsa district.

  • Haryana Police seizes 100 kg chura post, 12 kg ganja, 20 gram heroin    
  • Chandigarh, Aug 11 – In yet another crackdown on drug peddlers, Haryana Police have arrested four persons from Sirsa district. A total of 100 kg chura post, 12 kg 250 grams of ganja and 20 gram of heroin was seized from the possession of accused. The market value of a seized drug is around Rs four lakh.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesperson of the Police department said that in the first case, Laksham Singh alias Kaka, a native of Mansa in Punjab was nabbed by CIA Team during patrolling from village Bappa area after 100 kg of chura post was recovered from his possession. 
  • In another case, Special staff team arrested Vinod Kumar, a resident of Chandigarhiya Mohalla, Sirsa on the charges of possessing 12 kg 250 gram ganja.
  • In a separate case, Anti Narcotic Cell team seized 20-gram heroin from two accused, Mohit Kumar and Jitender Singh, both resident of Sirsa district. The contraband was recovered from the car of accused near Baba Bhuman Singh chowk, Sirsa.
  • He said that cases under the provisions of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) Act have been registered against them in different Police Stations. Accused will be taken on remand to get the name of others involved in drug-peddling.
