In view of the security arrangements during the General Assembly Election in Haryana-2019, the Government of Rajasthan has also issued orders regarding the ban on the movement,

  • Chandigarh, October 11- In view of the security arrangements during the General Assembly Election in Haryana-2019, the Government of Rajasthan has also issued orders regarding the ban on the movement, sale, distribution and of liquor within the range of 3 km in the border areas of Haryana. As per the orders the ban will come into effect from October 19, 2019, at 6 pm, till the polling ends. 
  • Sharing more information in this regard, Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Anurag Agarwal said that law and order should remain in place during the elections and adequate arrangements have been made by the security agencies to conduct the elections peacefully.  He said that blockade is going on across the State and the liquor and cash movements are also being monitored.
  • He said that in view of the security, talks with the Chief Electoral Officers of neighboring States adjoining Haryana have been done to and after which Rajasthan has issued orders to ban the sale and distribution of liquor.  He said that in addition to this, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and other neighboring states have also been requested to issue the orders regarding the ban on sale and distribution of liquor.
