  • Chandigarh, May 23- Haryana Government led by Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal is committed to send willing migrant labourers safely to their home states and ADGP, CID, Mr. Anil Kumar Rao and his team is making continuous efforts to ensure the same.
  •           Giving detailed information about this, ADGP CID, Mr. Anil Kumar Rao said that after the announcement made by Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal to send stranded migrant labourers and agricultural labourers willing to return to their home states free of cost by the Haryana Government, about 2,60,000 migrant labourers have been sent by over 60 Special Shramik Trains and more than 5,000 Haryana Roadways buses to their home states and this process is still going on.
  •           Giving further information, an official spokesperson said that ADGP CID, Mr. Anil Rao today interacted with passengers onboard the Special Shramik Train at Ambala Cantonment Railway Station, going to Barauni (Bihar). He said that Mr. Rao asked about the well-being of the migrant labourers being sent to their home states and their children.  On this occasion, Superintendent of Police, Security, Mr. Pankaj Nain along with other senior officers of Railway were also present, he added.
  •           He said that about 1631 migrant labourers and children have been sent to Barauni (Bihar) by this train today. He said that the migrant labourers were given packed food, fruits, juice, and water for their journey after the conduction of their medical check-ups and thermal screening. In addition, toys were also given to the children of migrant labourers.
  •           He said that the migrant labourers returning to their home states were very happy and appreciated the efforts being made by the Haryana Government. They thanked the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal for his efforts to send them home as well as the officers and employees involved in this process, he added.
  •           He said that the entire expenditure of trains and buses being run to send migrant labourers to their home states is being borne by the Haryana Government. Free of cost arrangements are being made by the State Government to keep these migrant labourers in relief camps and to bring them to railway stations and bus stands.
