  • Chandigarh November 6: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has extended his best wishes to the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Diwali.
  • In a message issued here today on the eve of Diwali, the Chief Minister said that the festival of lights symbolises joy and happiness, celebrates victory of good over evil and light over darkness. He urged everyone to celebrate the festival in a pollution-free manner.
  • Conveying his best wishes for all-round prosperity and bright future of the people, he said that the festival reminds us about the high ideals of Lord Rama, who returned to Ayodhya on this day after 14 years of banishment and victory over Lanka. He said that the festival is a restatement of the belief that the good ultimately triumphs over the evil.
  • "I hope that Diwali will be celebrated by the people with renewed joy, enthusiasm and peace and thus add happiness to their life," said Mr Manohar Lal.
