  • Chandigarh, 13 February- Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, Mr. Anurag Agarwal urged the citizens that if any person who has attained the age of 18 years or above as on January 1, 2020, but has not registered their names in the voter list should get his or her name registered in the electoral list and ensure their participation in strengthening democracy. 
  • The Chief Electoral Officer said this while presiding over a meeting with representatives of political parties of the State here today. Representatives of all political parties were requested to appoint booth level agents at polling stations.
  • The Chief Electoral Officer informed the representatives of political parties that the program of special summary revision of photo electoral roll has been revised considering January 1, 2020, as the qualifying date. According to the new program, the draft of the integrated electoral roll is already being published on February 10, 2020. Claims and objections are being received from February 10 to March, 12,2020. 
  • He said that special campaigns would be organized on February, 15, 16, 29 and March 1, 2020. The disposal of claims and objections will be done by March 24, 2020 and the final publication of electoral roll will be done on April 30, 2020. He informed that on the days of the special campaign to be held on February 15, 16, 29 and March 1, 2020, the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) would have to remain present at their respective polling stations. 
  • The Chief Electoral Officer informed that after the summary revision of photo electoral roll which was done after the Assembly General Election-2019, the copy of the draft electoral roll has been given to the representatives of all political parties. He said that the process of addition and deletion of the voters' name has been done after the door-to-door verification conducted by the BLOs.
  •  The Chief Electoral Officer said that if any person who has attained the age of 18 years or above as on January 1, 2020, but has not registered their names in the voter list should get his or her name registered in the list  by filling Form-6 with the concerned BLOs, Electoral Registration Officer, Assistant Electoral Registration Officer.  These forms are also available on the Election Department website www.ceoharyana.gov.in  and can be downloaded from there. He said that to get registered as a voter, a person has to submit two passport size color photos, along with their residence proof and age certificates,  which can be submitted offline or online.   • In the meeting, Additional Chief Electoral Officer Mr. D.K. Behera, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Inder Jeet and Mr. Apurv and representatives of political parties were present.
