  • Chandigarh, July 11 – Principal Secretary, Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Dr. Abhilaksh Likhi said that at present there are 37 dark zones in Haryana where there is shortage of water and the Department has been providing up to 85 per cent subsidy in these areas. He said that for these schemes, the government has provided Rs 435 crore to the Department.
  •         Dr. Likhi gave this information while interacting with a group of farmers at Nizampur in district Mahendragarh today.
  •         Giving information about the schemes implemented by the Department for the farmers, Dr Likhi said that the Department has been providing subsidy on micro irrigation schemes such as drip irrigation and underground pipeline. He said that farmers should avail benefits of these schemes
