Haryana Police have busted an inter-state gang of snatchers, with the arrest of two of its members from Meerut road Karnal. As many as 31 cases of snatching in Karnal, Delhi, Hyderabad and Uttar Pradesh were revealed with their arrest.

  • Chandigarh, June 12 – Haryana Police have busted an inter-state gang of snatchers, with the arrest of two of its members from Meerut road Karnal. As many as 31 cases of snatching in Karnal, Delhi, Hyderabad and Uttar Pradesh were revealed with their arrest.
  •           While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that arrested accused had been identified as Rambir and Suraj, both resident of Ahmedgarh Police Station, Jhinjhana, district Shamli, Uttar Pradesh.
  •           During interrogation, the accused confessed to have committed nearly 31 snatchings in Karnal, Hyderabad, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi in recent past. They were more active in railway stations and nearby areas and targeted woman passenger sitting on window side. Rambir had also been booked in a snatching case and was jailed in Jhansi for five months.
  •           The spokesman said that both the accused were nabbed by anti-snatching team of Karnal Police during patrolling from Meerut road Karnal. Both would be produced in court to seek police remand. Recovery in connection with cases registered in Karnal would be carried out from them.
